Marion Crowe, CFNHM

Founding Executive Director, First Nations Health Managers Association

Marion is a proud member of the Piapot First Nation in Saskatchewan and is the founding Executive Director of the First Nations Health Managers Association.

Marion has held various positions within Health Canada, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) in Saskatchewan, Ontario and the National Capital Region.  She worked within finance, program management and policy development areas of e-Health Solutions, Health Services Accreditation and Aboriginal Health Human Resources.  Marion has also had the privilege of working under an Interchange Canada Agreement with the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations and Health Canada.

Assisting community members in the development of professional development opportunities and certification has always been a passion for Marion, as she was a founding Board of Director for the Saskatchewan Chapter of AFOA Canada.

Marion has been awarded achievement milestones, such as A Health Canada Deputy Minster’s Award of Excellence; A Centennial Leadership Award from the Province of Saskatchewan; and the AFOA Canada – Xerox Canada National Award of Excellence in Aboriginal Leadership in 2015.  Marion was also the first person in Canada to receive both her CAFM and CFNHM designations, from AFOA Canada and FNHMA.

Most recently, Marion was appointed as the first Indigenous person to The Ottawa Hospital, Board of Governors.
