On June 17, 2020, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), in collaboration with the provinces, territories and Health Canada, released the latest national data on opioid-related harms in Canada. An accompanying brief report, that includes the EMS, hospitalization and mortality data, was also prepared which integrated the national harms data and described pathways a person may take from opioid overdose to contact with the health care system through emergency medical services and hospitals.
