About the event

FNHMA is excited to announce a new workshop series from Health Planning Specialist, Samara Lewis. The workshop series is called "Leading by Example: Self-Care for Health Leaders" and is designed to introduce First Nations health professionals to self-care practices that can help improve work-life balance and create a healthier working environment for themselves and their team.

Join Samara on Wednesday, February 28th, for a virtual information session where she will provide more details on the delivery and format of the Leading by Example workshop series, as well as the time requirements and activities included.

Samara is from Wiikemkoong Unceded Territory in Ontario. She is a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Coach, with past director experience. As a working mom of two girls, Samara has experienced burnout as a result of poor self-care. She aims to share her formal educational training as well as lived experience to help others avoid the same and instead, thrive in their roles as health leaders.

The Zoom info session allows participants to interact with the host by asking questions on camera.
