FNHMA is proud to be partnering with Health Standards Organization (HSO) to host a virtual discussion session in support of the development of the new National Standard of Canada for Cultural Safety and Humility, which is currently open for public feedback until February 27, 2026.
This national standard is being developed by an Indigenous Technical Committee and outlines the requirements and accountabilities for health and social service organizations to collaboratively design, deliver, and evaluate culturally safe services with and for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples and communities. It also focuses on addressing Indigenous-specific racism in service delivery.
