The First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA) is pleased to share an updated schedule for the Indigenous Health Navigator (IHN) Project Engagement Sessions.
Beginning in mid-January, FNHMA will host a series of engagement sessions to support the Culturally Grounded Co-Design of the IHN Curriculum, Core Competencies, and the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) process. These sessions are a key opportunity for First Nations health leaders to contribute their knowledge, lived experience, and community priorities, helping to ensure the IHN Project reflects Indigenous ways of knowing and practice.
Additional Information
All engagement sessions will be hosted virtually via Zoom (links will be shared with registered participants).
While sessions are organized by region and time zone, participants are welcome to attend any session, regardless of location, to support flexibility and broad participation.
To participate, individuals must complete and submit a Letter of Participation. Those who have already submitted a Letter of Participation will receive follow-up communication regarding upcoming sessions.
More detailed session information will be shared as each date approaches.
Whether you are currently serving as an Indigenous Health Navigator or in a similar role, have held this position in the past, or have worked closely alongside Navigators, your knowledge and perspective are essential. The voices, strengths, and lived realities of our communities are central to shaping the IHN Project.
We encourage interested participants to mark their calendars, register for sessions that align with their experience and availability, and share this schedule widely with colleagues and networks of First Nations health professionals.
