FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Montreal, QC (November 6, 2025) – The First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA) proudly celebrated its largest graduating cohort in history during the 13th Annual National Conference in Montreal, QC. The 2025 convocation recognized the newest Certified First Nations Health Managers (CFNHMs).
The conference brought together more than 600 health professionals, community leaders, and partners from across Canada for two days of recognition, learning, and connection. This milestone marks the largest number of CFNHM graduates to complete the program since its inception, a testament to the growing strength, leadership, and capacity of First Nations health management. The newly certified CFNHMs now join a national network of health leaders championing culturally grounded, community-driven health systems.
“As we honour our 2025 graduates, the largest CFNHM cohort to date, we celebrate a shared commitment to healthier Nations led by trained professionals,” said Marion Crowe, Chief Executive Officer of FNHMA. “Each graduate represents dedication, excellence, and a vision for self-determined health leadership rooted in culture and community.”
“This record-breaking cohort reflects the growing strength and determination within First Nations health leadership,” said David McLaren, President of FNHMA. “Our graduates embody the knowledge, values, and skills needed to continue building strong, culturally grounded health systems for our people.”
