FNHMA Board of Directors - Now Accepting Nominations

The First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA) is announcing that nominations are now open for three positions on the FNHMA Board of Directors. The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and governance for FNHMA by guiding the organization's activities and priorities each fiscal year and supporting FNHMA within their respective regions. The successful candidates elected to the Board will serve a three-year term beginning immediately following the FNHMA Annual General Meeting on November 4, 2026.
This year's Board elections will be held for the following positions:
Alberta
Quebec
Saskatchewan
Nominations must be submitted to the FNHMA and meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
Eligibility and Criteria
Nominees must be FNHMA members in good standing at the time of nomination and demonstrate the following:
Advanced health management capabilities in First Nation communities.
Demonstrated leadership and expertise in health management within their organization.
A commitment to continuous learning and capacity development, including fostering professional growth among their employees.
Evidence of leadership and action dedicated to advancing health system improvement and innovation.
Reasons for the Nomination
Please include a statement (maximum 300 words) outlining why the nominee is deserving of the nomination and how they meet the eligibility criteria. The submission must also include the following information about the nominee:
Name
Employer
Position
Address
Telephone number
E-mail
Your nomination package must also include:
The names and signatures of two FNHMA members in good standing who support the nomination. (If this is not possible, a letter of support from the nominee's employer may be submitted in place of one FNHMA member.)
The name and contact information of the person submitting the nomination form.
Voting will open on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. EDT and close Friday, October 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
NOTE: Only members who are eligible to vote will receive the voting notification.
