This workshop explores the concept of living into right relationships in the workplace. Drawing on both contemporary organizational practices and grounded in the wisdom of Elders, participants will engage in meaningful dialogue and reflection on how to foster respectful, reciprocal, and responsible relationships in the workplace. Grounded in values such as relationality, accountability, and interconnectedness, the workshop introduces perspectives that emphasize the importance of balance, listening, and shared responsibility. Through experiential learning and practical tools, attendees will leave with ideas and strategies to build healthier, more inclusive, and ethically grounded workplace environments.

Workshop Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will:
Understand what “right relationships” mean in a workplace context.
Explore key principles such as relationality, reciprocity, and respect.
Reflect on their own workplace relationships and responsibilities.
Practice strategies for fostering inclusive and ethical workplace environments.
Presenter: Aliesha Desjarlais is a Settler who was influenced and guided by her home community since she was a young child. She is a Certified First Nations Health Manager and currently the Keeper of the Circle (Director) of the Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre. With over 20 years of leadership experience in health, community development, and food sustainability, she is dedicated to fostering growth, reciprocity, and strong partnerships. Grounded in the teachings of Elders and her home community, of Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, Aliesha brings authenticity, humility, and vision to her work.
Participation in this Lunch & Learn is eligible towards the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) requirement for Certified First Nations Health Manager (CFNHM) members.
